early concept art dating back almost 15 years and with many many style changes.

I was trained in the western style of Comics, modeling myself fairly close to such big names such as Jim Lee, William Tucci, etc…Manga and Anime in the US at the time was fairly limited save for the anime movie rentals. Having developed 2039 as a comic book that was inspired by a ” home cooked” RPG set in an anime like future, I decided to set out and teach myself ” Manga” My early works, very close to the Dragon Ball style reflects what was the most common resource material at the time.

Styles changed as I gained more skill, and the story grew darker. I had always envisioned a more realistic look to the story, as you will see in the concepts, I would do a style I felt was too….cartoon like for my taste, then attempt a more realistic form, then alter it again.

Over the years the story, and the characters have seen many changes and updates. Most changes are subtle, limited to only the styles, others however like Tomoe, and Moby were fairly drastic. So please enjoy these…rather silly in my book” steps to the 2039 universe.
